Design Your Home

You may begin by selecting a Carbon Friendly Affordable Housing (CFAH) model home design. Our team of designers will then collaborate with you to tailor the design to your specific requirements. We understand the importance of the foundation of your home and will ensure it is optimized for your unique situation. All our homes are built on a crawlspace, which is the standard specification. However, we offer additional options to expand your home or create a cozy small studio.

Once the conceptual design of the house has been finalized, the next step in the process is to proceed with the order. During this phase, our team will fully develop the plans and submit any required building permits. In parallel, you will work closely with our designer to make color selections for various elements of the house, including countertops, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, cabinet colors, flooring, and shingle colors. All of these options are included in the package. This stage is of great significance as it allows you to personalize your home according to your specific preferences.

The process of obtaining plan approvals, also referred to as Sealed Prints, typically takes around 8-12 weeks to complete. However, the exact timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of your plans and the specific regulations of the state where the construction is taking place. Rest assured, our team will take all necessary measures to expedite the approval process and will keep you informed about the progress along the way.

Factory Construction

Once our builder has completed the building permit process, we can move forward with an exciting milestone: starting the foundation and putting your home into production. In our state-of-the-art factory, the production of your home typically takes about 4 weeks. However, please note that the timing of production is influenced by the current status of our backlog. We understand how important it is for you to have a clear timeline, so rest assured that we will keep you updated every step of the way regarding the scheduled production of your home.

Foundation &
Transportation

When it comes to the construction of your new home, we take great care in delivering and setting up the modules on your site. This is a crucial stage in the process as it prepares the way for the actual placement of the home on the foundation. With the help of a reliable crane, each module is carefully lifted into position and securely fastened to the foundation. Our streamlined and efficient process ensures that most sets are completed in just one day. By the end of this day, you can have complete peace of mind knowing that your home is fully set, firmly anchored, and protected from the elements on its solid foundation.

Finishing Steps

During the finishing stage of the construction process, our team of builders will proceed to finalize the electrical, plumbing, and heating connections of your newly constructed modular home. In addition, we will complete the installation of exterior siding and essential features such as porches, decks, patios, walkways, and garages. Prior to the installation of floor coverings, our skilled professionals will carry out minor interior carpentry and drywall work. All of these meticulous tasks are crucial in ensuring the comprehensive and timely completion of your home.

Move in

After the house has been set up, a thorough final inspection will take place to ensure that everything is in perfect order. Once the inspection has been successfully passed, you will be ready to move in and start enjoying your brand new home.
